Uncertainity of life...

Sleeping after heavy pressure of exams, in dreams of spending my vacations on hill station

Tring tring …

Me: Hello, whose this?

HR: Hello I’m calling from Headlines Today; we have received your CV would you like to work with us?

And suddenly the whole tiredness went off some where?

Me: Suddenly Vacations plan strikes and sir can I come for an interview after 1st as I’m not in Delhi right now?

HR: we want u to join as early as possible can you please come tomorrow for an interview? You can think I will call you back after 2 hours and Hung up the phone call!

Me: Amazed! Which HR will tell u that I will call you back after 2 hours??

Jumped out of my bed, I started calling my dad and others to discuss this as I was confused whether I should go for this or not? After taking the opinion of 5-6 people it was my turn to take the final step of moving ahead or kicking the opportunity and to continue with my earlier plan.

But this time I decided of taking this opportunity as I remembered a quote which my dad always tells me i.e. “Opportunities missed are opportunities lost” and it’s very true! If I wouldn’t have taken that offer someone else might have but the things which I have learned before the start of my semester makes me stand aside.

Let continue with the journey of reaching and joining the organization

It was almost an hour now that I haven’t received any phone calls so I started calling myself so that I can inform them that I will take it. I tried calling but couldn’t reach to the authorized person. Then I wrote a mail conforming that I would take this opportunity.

I got a call from the office again asking me to come for an interview scheduled on 23 Dec the very next day at 10 am.

Excited about next day! I couldn’t sleep whole night.

Next day I reached office at 9:30 for the scheduled interview with excitement then I was taken to Mr Shailender Jha Editor of TVTMI institute. After a general round of interview he just asked me would u like to work for sports desk if you are interested. I agreed to sports desk as its my field and moreover its safe to choose sports as I have knowledge about sports.

Office phone number flashing on my phone! Shocked, surprised, I received the call someone on phone asking me where you are. I was surprised why they are calling me again and again later,

I got to know I have joined on the same day just after my interview another fellow intern took me for a formal introduction with the colleagues of sports desk.

Finally the journey begins!

After learning few things with the fellow intern, I got to know that I have early morning shift at 5 AM and I was stunned with this news. 5W 1H was running in my mind after hearing this. It was for India – Australia series which was to be started early morning and I have to come and log and record the match the work which I have never done before and my boss told me just once about the rooms and machines and then he told me that I will be alone in the morning doing this. It was all exciting and terrifying but I’m did managed everything well

During my one month stay with the headlines today I have worked on some of the things which I never wanted to work. I learned editing, production, meet many Mr. Kapil Dev on sports desk, everyone was friendly in the office except few.

Headlines Today is a great organisation to work with as they will never allow you to sit free and this kind of organization give you chance to explore your hidden talents.

It’s been a week in the organization made so many friends had so many arguments for finishing the deadline for the show. Its always fun to work in office except some boring days when I have nothing to do just to sit and enjoy

It was really fascinating to see anchors working and meeting and working with the one whom you have watched on television from last 10 years is a lifetime opportunity. During my stay at HT I many a times got fascinated towards anchoring and still the craze is on.

After working for a month I could feel the change.

At the end I would like to say we all should work towards our goal and should not miss any opportunities as you never know what turns out to be gold for you and life is full of uncertainty and surprises and what ever good comes to your way we should take it

Friendship- a friend in need is a friend in deed

We cannot choose our relatives, but we can choose our friends. Friendship is a       privilege we earn for ourselves so good friends are a credit for us. Friendship does not          occur in a day. Making friends is easy, but nurturing the relationship takes a lot of commitment for there is no blood relationship involved.
It has to be cared. Good friends are people with whom we are happy unconditionally and can rely upon. As they are chosen with carefully. An ideal friendship bond is nurtured with affection, trust, love and care.
In today's stress filled world friends are act as stress-busters. Friends contribute to our development and add to our personality. We today have Face book and twitter making it easy for us to make friends. Friends are an extension of our family, and since they are from diverse backgrounds they add special dimension to our lives. Some people survive without friends. They miss out a lot on living life to the fullest.
Friendship helps to connect and that’s why nations invest their efforts to develop and maintain and further friendly relations with other nations. No nation can live in isolation. The same way no individual can develop his personality without friends.
Friendship defies all barriers. When someone discovers a friend with whom they have lost contact for long period of time, they feel absolutely thrilled. This shows that friendship is a lifelong process.
Thank you Spardha, Somya, Mansi, Ankit Gupta, Shruthi for always being with me.

Why stay behind the Bars

A holiday is always a delight, but an unplanned holiday becomes adventurous indeed. Well, a long distance journey may not have allowed me to move out with bags in half an hour with no pre requisite planning, but a sudden plan does let u experience the joy of exploration. A student in Delhi University has to know travelling and it tastes bitter, but only when it’s a compulsion, metro announcements freak us out as monotony is merciless. But that was one fine day, when home was actually sweet and the thought of completing a year in the university was delightful. A vacation with family at a hill station was repetitive; going with friends was fun but ordinary. My mind could be satisfied with an independent voyage. At 3 o clock without eating mentos, I can assure u DIMAG KI BATTI jali and I decided to pack my bag and leave for Rajasthan. With relatives already there I easily got permission, but train or bus, it was not an easy choice. A random choice was train, which I was told left at 4, but to my surprise it was there at 345, exactly when I reached. The first step on the platform and the train was ready to leave. Turning back and looking at the queue was disappointing, going back home was no option, waiting for another train till 8 was again no option. The only option was to run and catch the train, adrenalin was my friend then. Travelling without ticket was an offence, but going back would have done no good to my morale. I managed to get a seat in the sleeper class and a ticket as well from the tt. The ticket in hand was no excitement, hand without it was more satisfied and heart was more active. On reaching the terminus I was in safe hands which were an end to excitement and adventure. But the journey alone with people from different areas, culture and religion is different and memorable. Travelling alone like common people with common people in common transport is very uncommon for girls, but why stay behind bars, when sky is the limit. After reaching Rajasthan the tour was good and fun with cousins and relative, the havelis, the markets were all Rajasthan style. But worth mentioning was the distance I covered MYSELF.

It's Never Too Late To Have A Happy Childhood

Walk in the rain, jump in mud puddles, collect rocks, rainbows and roses, smell flowers, blow bubbles, stop along the way, build sandcastles, say hello to everyone, go barefoot, go on adventures, act silly, fly kites, have a merry heart, talk with animals, sing in the shower, read children's books, take bubble baths, get new sneakers, hold hands, hug and kiss, dance, laugh and cry for the health of it, wonder and wander around, feel happy and precious and innocent, feel scared, feel sad, feel mad, give up worry and guilt and shame, say yes, say no, say the magic words, ask lots of questions, ride bicycles, draw and paint, see things differently, fall down and get up again, look at the sky, watch the sun rise and sun set, watch clouds and name their shapes, watch the moon and stars come out, trust the universe, stay up late, climb trees, daydream, do nothing and do it very well, learn new stuff, be excited about everything, be a clown, enjoy having a body, listen to music, find out how things work, make up new rules, tell stories, save the world, make friends with the other kids on the block, and do anything else that brings more happiness, celebration, health, love, joy, creativity, pleasure, abundance, grace, self-esteem, courage, balance, spontaneity, passion, beauty, peace, relaxation, communication and life energy to...all living beings on this planet.

Smoking: Eating You Alive

Quitting smoking is not easy but it’s not impossible. With the right information and motivation from others, every smoker can succeed to bust off this destructive habit. You smoke because you are an addict, just like the street-creature you call a junkie. Recovering from heroin addiction is a nightmare; with the right mindset, recovering from a nicotine addiction is actually easy. I also believe that there are many people out there who are unwilling or unable to separate the realities of the “addict-ability” of the two drugs from the withdrawal symptoms. The dynamics of nicotine addiction are pretty much the same as those of any other addiction. Heroin withdrawal, like nicotine, begins immediately after the drug begins leaving the body. Major withdrawal symptoms peak in 48-72 hours and subside in about a week. The smoker begins to feel “pangs”; there is, contrary to common lore, no physical pain involved. It is merely a feeling of restlessness or that something is missing and can lead to nervousness or agitation on the part of the smoker. In addition, how do we end the nervousness and agitation? “More poison, please!”You experience something that makes you feel good (drugs, alcohol, nicotine) and when the “feel-good” stuff goes away you’re left feeling bad. Moreover, the way to stop feeling bad is to ingest more of the feel-good stuff.
The need to recover from an unpleasant state created by the addictive substance of choice demands that the addict ingest more of the substance that is causing the discomfort in the first place. I’ve met smokers who claim not to believe the overwhelming evidence that smoking is hazardous to your health. Some believe it but are willing to risk painful death rather than quit.

Two lame excuses smokers give when they smoke.
1. It relaxes me: Take a few deep breaths as non-smokers do when they get tense, Stretch, Take a walk, and say a prayer Meditate. Call your doctor; they make pills for that and your medical insurance pays for them.

2. Peer pressure: Why most of us started; our cool teen-agedfriends convinced us that we needed to smoke if we were going to be ‘in’ withtheir crowd. However, you’re not a teenager any more, you’re a grown-up- start acting like one and lose the fags If you or someone you know is going through the same difficulty of quitting smoking, you can always find a reason to pursue just by reading blogs. Information is the key towards a healthier and happier life.

My Pet "TOFU"

I always liked dogs. I found them cute, loving and entertaining. The stories about their unconditional love and loyalty towards humans always fascinated me. But I discovered my immense love for them when my first pet- “TOFU” came in my life.
He was just one month old when he became an inseparable member of our family. A golden Labrador, whose innocence and magnetic charm immediately took our hearts away. Soon he became the youngest spoiled brat of the family. He used to sleep on the floor at night but I used to find him sleeping besides me on the bed in the morning. He was my alarm. Whether it was a weekend or a regular day, whether I am shouting, crying or laughing…he used to lick my face and wake me up exactly at 7 am (that’s why I had good attendance in first year!). He was a good listener (or atleast pretended to be) and endured my crap talks for hours.  We feared his continuously wagging tail would break one day!
When dad used to return from office, he used to recognize the horn of the car and wait for him at the gate. The “pampered baby” refrained from even looking at us if we left him alone for few hours. Just a sneeze by him was enough to rush him to his veterinarian. Special meals were prepared for him so that he does not get vexed with his daily food. I wish I had the same privilege.

He always showered his congenital love on us and taught me innumerable lessons. I learnt how to stay happy always, how to forgive easily and how to make everyday special from him.
When my life became insatiable without him. When a day without his presence was like a day without sunshine. When everything loomed to be perfect, one day he fell ill. Best doctors, high dose of medicines, anything and everything possible on earth could not prove their worth. Within few hours, he was taking his last breath in front of us. We were totally helpless in front of almighty’s desire. ..And then, he went to dog heaven.
Now it has being seven months and still I cannot forget him. The space he had in my life cannot be filled by anybody. His memories are priceless and undying in my mind. I still miss him immensely and pray for his happiness wherever he is.
GOD BLESS YOU TOFU

Trust !!

Trust is a delicate piece of glass, only that it doesn't come

with 'HANDLE WITH CARE' sign on it.

once it shatters..........

not even the strangers glue can fix it. Trust is as natural as breathing.

Trust can be a quality or weakness. Trust can withstand any tornado,

Trust is a tear..........

While in the eye,it protects from any infection. But once it rolls down the cheek,it's nothing but burning acid!!!

Trust is not like love, which you can give to anyone and everyone and still it grows.

It's like a seed, which if sown near a river, blossoms and if buried in the desert

Grows into nothing but thorns.

Trust is as precious as life,

Because life without it is like

car without brakes,heart without beats.

Head without hair and love without dare

So,never break anyone's trust!!!!
