Silent stealer of Vision

 Silent Stealer of Vision

Blindness is the state of lacking visual power that disables the ability to see the environment and further react to it. In biological terms it disables the connection of the eye to the brain via nerves and hence the brain cannot convert the visual signals into actions. Blindness can be categorized into various forms i.e. partial blindness, complete blindness, etc but it surely devastates complete life of an individual.

Termed as “specially challenged people” by the UNO, these people would have lost the charm of living their life if the people wouldn’t have understood the need to help them. The aid was provided to these people in various forms and organizations. Blind schools were setup specially to train such special people to face the world.

In India, blind schools were setup to train these people so that they are not left dependent on any individual in future. In Delhi such blinds schools are running successfully with a massive support from people. The blind school in Lodhi Colony in New Delhi- “Blind Relief Association”  is looking after 600 such students. Such schools provide education as well as employment to these blinds. The students are not only provided with the bookish knowledge but are even made to operate computer. These students are trained to their daily necessity work like washing their clothes, utensils without any help. These students are trained to stand beside any normal individual in any field and provide the same result as expected from any normal individual.

It is amazing to see these students playing outdoor games similar to a normal individual without any sense of blindness. Moreover such schools raise the standard of such students to such a level that they are invited by the multinational companies to provide their talent to the company.

God might have not provided them with the vision but they are provided with a special 6th sense that allows them to outstand themselves from other people.

Lost freedom

I want to live free in this democratic country,
but I am not allowed to.

I want to fly high like a bird,
but I am not allowed to.

I want to reach beyond my dreams,
but I am not allowed to.

They leave us with so many questions,
but they are allowed to.

I want answers for that questions,
but i am not allowed to.

They walk like a wild animal on street,
but they are allowed to.

They hunt like hunter in a forest,
but they are allowed to.

They treat like servant of an employer,
but they are allowed to.

We are always taught not to get raped,
but they are never taught not to rape.
