when it comes to love, mother is the word

Mother, who gave us her heart...her very soul.
Mother, who's understanding never wavered.
Mother, the one who dried our tears.
Mother, she lead us to the path of His Love.
Mother, who washed our cloths and cleaned the house.
Mother, who instilled confidence in her children.
Mother, who walked us to school.
Mother, who loved us like no other.
Mother, who quelled the anger within us.
Mother, who drove us to all our practices.
Mother, who never forgot our special occasions.
Mother, you will always remain, in our
hearts, in our deeds, in our thoughts,
in our lives and in our prayers.

Surely, beyond the stars, there's a special place for Mothers.

DRUGS-FAR AWAY FROM LIFE

Drug and alcohol addiction is a dangerous and progressive disease. When someone drinks alcohol every day, but never gets drunk, or parties and does cocaine or ecstasy every weekend, but never during the week days, are they addicts in need of drug rehab? We often say that there is an addiction problem when life becomes unmanageable in various ways, however addiction is progressive. For some people nothing seems to be unmanageable until suddenly, everything is. It’s such a sad thing when any person loses a life to addiction, but I know I’m not the only one who thought that, despite it’s horrible consequences, crack did not cause fatal overdoses , or at least not as often as heroin and prescription meds do. I guess when the damage hits closer to home, any reality becomes more. There have been numerous articles recently about the spread of heroin and perscription drug abuse among young people from 13-25 years of age. These disturbing develpments have indicated that a majority of these young people are beginning with abuse of prescription pan medications stolen from parents and grandparents who are ill or recovering from surgery. Despite the serious dangers of prescription pain medications, many people do not acknowledge these dangers because of an erroneous belief that since these pan killers are prescribed by doctors, they are not as dangerous as heroin obtained on the street.
There is no universal scale with which to measure the extent of addiction in everyone who abuses drugs and alcohol, but addiction is a dangerous game to play and no matter what the substance, any abuse is walking a very thin line. It’s tough to figure out who has a problem and who doesn’t. It doesn’t take falling down drunk or multiple drug offenses, or stealing from loved ones to be an addict. All it takes is a dependence - just to feel normal, or to go to sleep for the night. Perhaps, instead of determining addiction as life becoming unmanageable, we should take a look at what is and is not manageable when we don’t drink or do the drugs that normally “get us through” a good night’s sleep or a night out with friends. First, can we deny ourselves that drink or drug and second, has the perceived quality of our life changed in any way without these substances? This is a question that has to be answered on a personal level and hopefully, with vigilance, it can be answered before addiction gets a solid grasp on life and begins to make things unmanageable - making the need for drug and alcohol rehabilitation imminent. For a long time, I used to think that people don’t die from crack addiction. I used to think that only drugs like heroin and prescription meds could kill addicts. ng a suspicious finger toward medical professionals who will write opiate prescriptions at the word of a patient.
Along with prescription fraud and doctors who maybe a little too “trusting” of their patients, younger addicts find their fix much closer to home in their parents’ unlocked and unmonitored medicine cabinets. This kind of addictive behavior is especially dangerous because with younger people, the only interest is getting high without any knowledge of dosing instructions or possible health risks, increasing the chances of fatal overdoses.

Visit Andaman To Have A Brush With Adventure . .

Last autumn break, my family decided to tread the unbeaten path and we took a trip to the Andaman Islands. It sure was a great trip. The roads in Andaman are wide, clean, congestion and pollution free. The very first day we went to the Fisheries Museum where we saw a wide variety of rare fishes, corals and shells. There were live specimens as well as preserved ones.

In the evening we went to the infamous Cellular Jail, also known as the Kala Pani, where hundreds of political prisoners were sent during freedom struggle of India. The name Kala Pani probably derives from the fact the sea surrounding the islands looks black for seven months in the year due to overcast skies leading to a ‘Black Sea’. The jail was built in 1906 and had seven wings opening out like a seven pettaled flower. It had 698 isolated cells. The jail takes its name ‘Cellular Jail’ from the isolated cells. Now only two wings of the jail have been presented as a museum. The rest have made way for a large hospital. A poignant light and sound show in the evening in the jail premises made us realize the sacrifices our heroes have made to get our country free.

Our next stop on the next day was the Ross Island. This has the ruins of the headquarters of the British rulers. The amount of planning that had gone in the Island was clearly visible from the printing press that the British had made there was also the water treatment/filtration plant, small power plant and other institutions comprising the cantonment. The Viper Island and the North Bay Island had us mesmerized. The approach to the North Bay Island was via a glass bottomed motor boat through which the enchanting sea life was clearly visible. Here, along with my brother had a brush with adventure when we both went snorkelling. The thrill of such adventure is difficult to pen down.We had the chance to see the Jarawa tribals in their natural foundations that reminded us of Ganesha, a mother with a child on her lap, shells etc.

The Mud Volcano was another experience altogether. We took a walk on the volcano with our feet bare and felt mud ooze out of the various mouths of the volcano. To our pleasant surprise this was very cold! Next we visited the Havelock Island that has the Radhanagar Beach that has been rated the best beach in Asia in Time Magazine. The British built the Chatahm Saw Mill on Chaham Island in 1833. It is still functional. The forest museum inside the mill is replete with rare pieces of wood. The Anthropological Museum depicts the lives of Palaeolithic Islanders and displays the models of Aborigines and their tools. In our way to Corbin’s Cove, we saw many fighting bunkers built during the Japanese occupation of these islands from March 1942 to October 1995.

On the last day we managed to squeeze in a visit to Samudrika, the Naval Museum and the Science Museum. Those visits were highly engrossing too. The lighting memory of the visit would be the emerald waters of the sea, the silver sandy beaches and the laid back relax attitude of the locals. It truly is a must visit. These little islands are not only endowed with scenic beauty but are also rich in history.

Uncertainity of life...

Sleeping after heavy pressure of exams, in dreams of spending my vacations on hill station

Tring tring …

Me: Hello, whose this?

HR: Hello I’m calling from Headlines Today; we have received your CV would you like to work with us?

And suddenly the whole tiredness went off some where?

Me: Suddenly Vacations plan strikes and sir can I come for an interview after 1st as I’m not in Delhi right now?

HR: we want u to join as early as possible can you please come tomorrow for an interview? You can think I will call you back after 2 hours and Hung up the phone call!

Me: Amazed! Which HR will tell u that I will call you back after 2 hours??

Jumped out of my bed, I started calling my dad and others to discuss this as I was confused whether I should go for this or not? After taking the opinion of 5-6 people it was my turn to take the final step of moving ahead or kicking the opportunity and to continue with my earlier plan.

But this time I decided of taking this opportunity as I remembered a quote which my dad always tells me i.e. “Opportunities missed are opportunities lost” and it’s very true! If I wouldn’t have taken that offer someone else might have but the things which I have learned before the start of my semester makes me stand aside.

Let continue with the journey of reaching and joining the organization

It was almost an hour now that I haven’t received any phone calls so I started calling myself so that I can inform them that I will take it. I tried calling but couldn’t reach to the authorized person. Then I wrote a mail conforming that I would take this opportunity.

I got a call from the office again asking me to come for an interview scheduled on 23 Dec the very next day at 10 am.

Excited about next day! I couldn’t sleep whole night.

Next day I reached office at 9:30 for the scheduled interview with excitement then I was taken to Mr Shailender Jha Editor of TVTMI institute. After a general round of interview he just asked me would u like to work for sports desk if you are interested. I agreed to sports desk as its my field and moreover its safe to choose sports as I have knowledge about sports.

Office phone number flashing on my phone! Shocked, surprised, I received the call someone on phone asking me where you are. I was surprised why they are calling me again and again later,

I got to know I have joined on the same day just after my interview another fellow intern took me for a formal introduction with the colleagues of sports desk.

Finally the journey begins!

After learning few things with the fellow intern, I got to know that I have early morning shift at 5 AM and I was stunned with this news. 5W 1H was running in my mind after hearing this. It was for India – Australia series which was to be started early morning and I have to come and log and record the match the work which I have never done before and my boss told me just once about the rooms and machines and then he told me that I will be alone in the morning doing this. It was all exciting and terrifying but I’m did managed everything well

During my one month stay with the headlines today I have worked on some of the things which I never wanted to work. I learned editing, production, meet many Mr. Kapil Dev on sports desk, everyone was friendly in the office except few.

Headlines Today is a great organisation to work with as they will never allow you to sit free and this kind of organization give you chance to explore your hidden talents.

It’s been a week in the organization made so many friends had so many arguments for finishing the deadline for the show. Its always fun to work in office except some boring days when I have nothing to do just to sit and enjoy

It was really fascinating to see anchors working and meeting and working with the one whom you have watched on television from last 10 years is a lifetime opportunity. During my stay at HT I many a times got fascinated towards anchoring and still the craze is on.

After working for a month I could feel the change.

At the end I would like to say we all should work towards our goal and should not miss any opportunities as you never know what turns out to be gold for you and life is full of uncertainty and surprises and what ever good comes to your way we should take it
