My Pet "TOFU"

I always liked dogs. I found them cute, loving and entertaining. The stories about their unconditional love and loyalty towards humans always fascinated me. But I discovered my immense love for them when my first pet- “TOFU” came in my life.
He was just one month old when he became an inseparable member of our family. A golden Labrador, whose innocence and magnetic charm immediately took our hearts away. Soon he became the youngest spoiled brat of the family. He used to sleep on the floor at night but I used to find him sleeping besides me on the bed in the morning. He was my alarm. Whether it was a weekend or a regular day, whether I am shouting, crying or laughing…he used to lick my face and wake me up exactly at 7 am (that’s why I had good attendance in first year!). He was a good listener (or atleast pretended to be) and endured my crap talks for hours.  We feared his continuously wagging tail would break one day!
When dad used to return from office, he used to recognize the horn of the car and wait for him at the gate. The “pampered baby” refrained from even looking at us if we left him alone for few hours. Just a sneeze by him was enough to rush him to his veterinarian. Special meals were prepared for him so that he does not get vexed with his daily food. I wish I had the same privilege.

He always showered his congenital love on us and taught me innumerable lessons. I learnt how to stay happy always, how to forgive easily and how to make everyday special from him.
When my life became insatiable without him. When a day without his presence was like a day without sunshine. When everything loomed to be perfect, one day he fell ill. Best doctors, high dose of medicines, anything and everything possible on earth could not prove their worth. Within few hours, he was taking his last breath in front of us. We were totally helpless in front of almighty’s desire. ..And then, he went to dog heaven.
Now it has being seven months and still I cannot forget him. The space he had in my life cannot be filled by anybody. His memories are priceless and undying in my mind. I still miss him immensely and pray for his happiness wherever he is.
GOD BLESS YOU TOFU
