I would wish for you

I have a simple wish
To begin each of my morning
Seeing your smile.

I have a simple wish
To breathe your fragrance
From thousand miles.

I can see your eyes
With my eyes closed.
I can feel your breath
When the wind flows.

I can hear your voice
In my every dream.
I can see your face
Far but still full of gleam.

I have a simple wish
To make you laugh a thousand times
For each of the tears that went

You are the reason
For me and for everything.
You are in all the seasons
Be it winter or spring.

You are the words
That come out of my mind.
You are that little bird
Who is one of a kind

I have a simple wish
To touch the sky and the moon
With you by my side.

Just look at me once.
And feel my love for you.
For, I have just a simple wish -
To make you joyous - with me too!

If I had one wish, I wud wish for you.

IPL 5 turning out to be a crowd-puller

The TRP ratings may not say so, but going by the attendances recorded at the stadiums across the country, the Indian Premier League is back, and with a big bang. These houseful crowds can be attributed to a plethora of reasons.

At the top of the reasoning pyramid is the fact that this format still provides the raw entertainment it was designed for, and with no major cricket involving team India in the month of March, the lean build-up has helped bring in this surge. Interest is high among the crowds supporting any particular team and this has perhaps strengthened the understanding that the IPL has indeed achieved city-based loyalties. Fans aren't interested in following other franchises as willingly as they support their own. The upswing in online viewership is a certain indicator of the same.

Perhaps another factor in this re-born popularity of the league is also the close competition. Yes, the crowds were coming in through the gates from the beginning itself. But this is a seven-week tournament and the consistency in numbers can only be achieved by some intense cricket on display. At the time of writing, Delhi Daredevils were running amok at the top of the table and Deccan Chargers were lying hopelessly in the ninth spot. Sandwiched in between, the other seven teams are separated by a mere three points.

Scoring a hundred in T20 cricket is no mean feat, for not only does it take immense concentration and application to stay at the wicket, but you also have to defy laws of batting and hit out at every possible opportunity. First it was Ajinkya Rahane and then, two days later, Pietersen joined him in the exclusive list of IPL 5 centurions. In between, Faf du Plessis, Jesse Ryder and Chris Gayle scored aggressive half centuries, out of which Gayle has looked the most dangerous with his new accumulative approach at the beginning of the innings. Surely, these are the three batsmen you could expect the next hundred to come from.
The bowlers aren't lagging behind. Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel have been tearing away with pace, while Shahbaz Nadeem is the new spinner on everyone's mind. But it was one Sourav Ganguly who charged up the whole world's imagination. Two wickets against Delhi at the Kotla and he rolled back the years. That charging run after bowling Pietersen will remain 'the moment' of 2012 IPL.

There have been a few rotten apples as well, mostly falling out from the Mumbai Indians' cupboard. Munaf Patel has been uttering a few choice words every time he has gone out to bowl and his captain Harbhajan Singh has never actually intervened. The 2011 Champions League T20 winners lie at the bottom of the 'Fair Play' table, while Rajasthan Royals sit at the top. While the latter's disciplined approach can be attributed to the leadership of one Rahul Dravid, should Harbhajan be blamed for Mumbai's bad behaviour, especially when things aren't going their way?

FATAL FATE

The afterglow of life is protruding
Amongst the walking souls
People have trouble understanding
The glow is for times to come
The earth will become anew
With spirits long since dead
Re-walking their own dimensions
Of lives that they once led

As destiny surrounds us Coming to one and all
We have trouble understanding
What stands inside this hall
For life is much better here
And happiness is peace
A mutual serenity
Once it comes it will never cease

We all walk across the empty hall
There are things we cannot explain
The unknown is awaiting
For us to make the call
A gathering of Angels
Walk upon a golden stair
A beckoning they call to us "Come, we'll meet you there"

As destiny surrounds us
Coming to one and all
We have trouble understanding
What stands within this hall
For life is much better here
And Happiness is peace
With a mutual serenity
Once it comes it will never cease
We are standing in the doorway
Coming in one by one
Quietly we stand there until the job is done
We drink the wine, and bite the bread
And still our thoughts we bind
We really still are helpless
We don't even know our minds

Then a vision of darkness
And the devil was in our soul
There's no use in explaining
What was the major goal
We don't really know just who it was
That gave the final word
Now we're all just standing here
waiting to be heard

As destiny surrounds us
Coming to one and all
We have trouble understanding
What stands inside this hall
For life is much better here
And happiness is peace
A mutual serenity
Once it comes it will never cease.

Silent stealer of Vision

 Silent Stealer of Vision

Blindness is the state of lacking visual power that disables the ability to see the environment and further react to it. In biological terms it disables the connection of the eye to the brain via nerves and hence the brain cannot convert the visual signals into actions. Blindness can be categorized into various forms i.e. partial blindness, complete blindness, etc but it surely devastates complete life of an individual.

Termed as “specially challenged people” by the UNO, these people would have lost the charm of living their life if the people wouldn’t have understood the need to help them. The aid was provided to these people in various forms and organizations. Blind schools were setup specially to train such special people to face the world.

In India, blind schools were setup to train these people so that they are not left dependent on any individual in future. In Delhi such blinds schools are running successfully with a massive support from people. The blind school in Lodhi Colony in New Delhi- “Blind Relief Association”  is looking after 600 such students. Such schools provide education as well as employment to these blinds. The students are not only provided with the bookish knowledge but are even made to operate computer. These students are trained to their daily necessity work like washing their clothes, utensils without any help. These students are trained to stand beside any normal individual in any field and provide the same result as expected from any normal individual.

It is amazing to see these students playing outdoor games similar to a normal individual without any sense of blindness. Moreover such schools raise the standard of such students to such a level that they are invited by the multinational companies to provide their talent to the company.

God might have not provided them with the vision but they are provided with a special 6th sense that allows them to outstand themselves from other people.

Lost freedom

I want to live free in this democratic country,
but I am not allowed to.

I want to fly high like a bird,
but I am not allowed to.

I want to reach beyond my dreams,
but I am not allowed to.

They leave us with so many questions,
but they are allowed to.

I want answers for that questions,
but i am not allowed to.

They walk like a wild animal on street,
but they are allowed to.

They hunt like hunter in a forest,
but they are allowed to.

They treat like servant of an employer,
but they are allowed to.

We are always taught not to get raped,
but they are never taught not to rape.

when it comes to love, mother is the word

Mother, who gave us her heart...her very soul.
Mother, who's understanding never wavered.
Mother, the one who dried our tears.
Mother, she lead us to the path of His Love.
Mother, who washed our cloths and cleaned the house.
Mother, who instilled confidence in her children.
Mother, who walked us to school.
Mother, who loved us like no other.
Mother, who quelled the anger within us.
Mother, who drove us to all our practices.
Mother, who never forgot our special occasions.
Mother, you will always remain, in our
hearts, in our deeds, in our thoughts,
in our lives and in our prayers.

Surely, beyond the stars, there's a special place for Mothers.

DRUGS-FAR AWAY FROM LIFE

Drug and alcohol addiction is a dangerous and progressive disease. When someone drinks alcohol every day, but never gets drunk, or parties and does cocaine or ecstasy every weekend, but never during the week days, are they addicts in need of drug rehab? We often say that there is an addiction problem when life becomes unmanageable in various ways, however addiction is progressive. For some people nothing seems to be unmanageable until suddenly, everything is. It’s such a sad thing when any person loses a life to addiction, but I know I’m not the only one who thought that, despite it’s horrible consequences, crack did not cause fatal overdoses , or at least not as often as heroin and prescription meds do. I guess when the damage hits closer to home, any reality becomes more. There have been numerous articles recently about the spread of heroin and perscription drug abuse among young people from 13-25 years of age. These disturbing develpments have indicated that a majority of these young people are beginning with abuse of prescription pan medications stolen from parents and grandparents who are ill or recovering from surgery. Despite the serious dangers of prescription pain medications, many people do not acknowledge these dangers because of an erroneous belief that since these pan killers are prescribed by doctors, they are not as dangerous as heroin obtained on the street.
There is no universal scale with which to measure the extent of addiction in everyone who abuses drugs and alcohol, but addiction is a dangerous game to play and no matter what the substance, any abuse is walking a very thin line. It’s tough to figure out who has a problem and who doesn’t. It doesn’t take falling down drunk or multiple drug offenses, or stealing from loved ones to be an addict. All it takes is a dependence - just to feel normal, or to go to sleep for the night. Perhaps, instead of determining addiction as life becoming unmanageable, we should take a look at what is and is not manageable when we don’t drink or do the drugs that normally “get us through” a good night’s sleep or a night out with friends. First, can we deny ourselves that drink or drug and second, has the perceived quality of our life changed in any way without these substances? This is a question that has to be answered on a personal level and hopefully, with vigilance, it can be answered before addiction gets a solid grasp on life and begins to make things unmanageable - making the need for drug and alcohol rehabilitation imminent. For a long time, I used to think that people don’t die from crack addiction. I used to think that only drugs like heroin and prescription meds could kill addicts. ng a suspicious finger toward medical professionals who will write opiate prescriptions at the word of a patient.
Along with prescription fraud and doctors who maybe a little too “trusting” of their patients, younger addicts find their fix much closer to home in their parents’ unlocked and unmonitored medicine cabinets. This kind of addictive behavior is especially dangerous because with younger people, the only interest is getting high without any knowledge of dosing instructions or possible health risks, increasing the chances of fatal overdoses.
